What we fit
Shock absorbers
Replacement and upgraded shocks for touring, towing and off-road work. If the ride has gone floaty or the rear keeps bouncing over corrugations, worn shocks are the first thing we check.
Springs and suspension upgrades
Coil and leaf springs matched to how your 4WD is loaded, whether that's a permanent canopy and drawers or a caravan on the back most weekends. Sagging rear springs are the usual cause of poor handling on a loaded vehicle.
Complete 4WD suspension packages
Shocks, springs and associated components fitted as one job, so the whole system works together. Here's what we recommend for most touring builds: fit the suspension as a package, then do the alignment straight after.
Built for Australian conditions
Corrugated gravel heading north, a loaded ute on a mine access road, a boat on the back heading down south. Factory suspension is set up for the vehicle as it left the showroom, not with a canopy, drawers and a full tank of water on board.
The right setup keeps the vehicle level under load, holds its line on gravel and stops without the nose diving. It also reduces uneven tyre wear, which is common on a 4WD that isn't sitting right.
Suspension and tyres work together
Changing the suspension changes the geometry, so a wheel alignment after the fit is not optional. We do both in the one workshop.
It's also the right time to check whether your tyres suit the new setup. We'll tell you what's worth changing and what's fine as it is.

Do I need a wheel alignment after a suspension upgrade?
Yes. Changing your suspension changes your vehicle's geometry, so an alignment straight after the fit protects your tyres and keeps the steering honest. We do both in the one workshop.
Will new suspension help with a loaded ute or a caravan?
That's exactly what it's for. Springs matched to the weight you actually carry will keep the vehicle sitting level, hold the headlights where they belong, and stop the rear from bottoming out on rough ground.
How do I know my shocks are worn?
A floaty ride, a rear end that keeps bouncing after a bump, longer stopping distances, or uneven tyre wear. If any of those sound familiar, bring it in and we'll take a look.
